We’ve all been there. We wanted to remember something that we’ve forgotten something that’s crucial. You wish you’d write it down on a piece of paper, but you’ve gone digital. So you search for an app that can help you take notes. But all you find is bloated stuff that you really don’t need. All you need is something that can help you note down some text. Something that syncs with your phones. Something like Simplenote.
Simplenote is a web app that runs in your browser, while there are several different apps for Desktop and Phones. We’re gonna be stressing on just the web version for now.
The web interface is neat, clean and beautiful. And best of all it gets the job done with minimal friction. You have the ability to search your notes, add tags to them. A nifty feature is to trackback to an older version of your note. Similar to versions on Lion. It supports markdown as well.
With lives being more and more inclined to smartphones and tablets, we want to keep all of them in sync. Simplenote is an exception from other note-taking apps in the way that it has loads of third-party apps for it. It has two offical apps for the iPhones, iPod Touch and iPad.
Even though some of those apps’ aesthetic feel can be different from the web interface, the thing is that it gets the job done, and it does it well.
Simplenote is a life-saving app that helps you take notes, without the bloat and unnecessary features that other apps give you. Along with tons of third-party apps for desktops and smartphones, it makes syncing easy !
